INVESTING IN OUR FUTURE
REPORT ON THE 2005 CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
In 2009 we officially concluded our capital campaign, “Investing In Our Future”, raising more than $4.3 million in cash and pledges.
The campaign’s goals were twofold: 1) complete some renovation projects; 2) increase endowed scholarship funds to provide need-based grants and scholarships. Through the success of the campaign we were able to address the following priorities:
- Renovation of the kitchen and food service area
- Replacement of the bleachers in the North Gym
- Upgraded the electrical service for the school
- New roof added to the South Building
- Installation of a passenger elevator in the 1957 building
- Upgrades to the sprinkler system/fire protection
- Renovation of the North Gym foyer and the 1957 building foyer
- $1.8 million dollar increase to our trust fund dedicated to grants and scholarships
We thank everyone who participated and all the generous donors who helped us achieve a number of goals. A few pledges are still being completed, but for the most part this campaign is concluded.
As The Cathedral High School moves forward, your annual participation in The Cathedral Fund is critically important. The CHS annual budget anticipates only 57% of its revenue from tuition; the remaining 43% must come from some sort of generosity on the part of our alums, families, and friends.
Please pray that God will continue to bless and to look with favor on our vision, which is:
Cathedral’s effectiveness will be unmatched in its education, preparation, and formation of young men and women for adulthood – and in its delivery of social, intellectual, financial, religious, leadership, and cultural capital to Central Minnesota and the world.
