Students who receive a cumulative grade of D, D- or F at any time during the school term are ineligible to compete in Minnesota State High School League events or any other co-curricular activities. This includes athletics, academic activities, drama and music co-curriculars.
An ineligible student may attend practice or an event, but may not be in uniform. The student will become eligible when the teacher signs off on the "Academic Eligibility Form" and returns it to the Activities Director.
Any student wishing to participate in a school sponsored athletic event must fill out the proper paper work with the Activities Office, and pay the appropriate fee. Full and partial scholarships are available upon request if needed.
Also, the student athlete must have, on file, a physical from within the past 3 years. This usually means before 7th grade and before 10th grade the student athlete will have a physical. When making a doctor's appointment for your high school athlete, let them know that you need the sports physical, and ask them if they have the necessary form. If they do not have the form, you can get it here, and bring it along to the appointment.
